Computer Fans Spin for a Second Then Stop

Personal computer won't turn connected. Fans spin around for half a second and then turn off.

Last night I turned my pc off like I unremarkably act omit this time I flipped the switch on the back of the PSU because I wanted to save up power because when the PC is barely shut down (usually) the LED's are all the same connected. When I woke rising this morning I went to my PC and flipped the PSU switch into the on position then pressed the power push on the case. The fans turned happening for about half a second and then turned off again. Same with the Light-emitting diode's. Did I break my PSU somehow? Please help

Isolate everything, first try to replug all wires from the psu to your mobo, and test to clean the gold parts of your RAM.

Open up your case and check everything from the PSU is unmoving connected to the board and your components. Sounds like the CPU cable from the PSU is unconstipated.

The Processor big businessman cable television service was the first thing I restrained. Everything is still wired leading.

Insulate everything, first try to replug all wires from the psu to your mobo, and try to clean the gold parts of your Read/write memor.

i accept had this problem before, a few times... it could be that something has worked itself loose, hopefully IT is arsenic simple as that. But information technology is more possible either your psu Beaver State motherboard that has bygone. a power tide could do it, even though your psu was off, a surge can still come through your ethernet cable.

you can do a quick test on your psu, called the gem clip test (google information technology) to picture if it is still on the job (although the test is by no way definitive, your psu may still equal faulty even if it passes the test), if you can get your hands on a one that you know whole caboodle, that would cost first prize.
next is to draw off the components one at a time to see if any of them may be the culprit.

the motherboard is the most unmanageable to check, regrettably it is also a prime distrust... short of swapping it with a spare if you have one... you may have to take IT in to pc repair shop, other you may just have to buy in a replacement.

Suffice you hear a acicular click from the PSU before it powers down? If sol disconnect everything and do the paperclip test, the selfsame thing happened to me this past monday and it was my PSU being short. Hitting power clit, fans spin up, fans power down, all within maybe 2-3 seconds. PSU is most likley dead, use the warranty and RMA it.

Taking out the CPU power line and the motherboard power cable and putting them rearmost in fixed the problem. Thanks
